在毫針針刺畱針過程中，於針柄加熱以治療疾病的方法。又稱燒針灸、傳熱灸、針柄灸。具有溫通經脈，行氣活血的作用。適用於寒凝經脈、氣血痺阻的疾病。
溫針是在毫針基礎上進行的。操作時先按疾病的不同性質施以必要的手法，使之得氣，將毫針畱在適儅的深度，取約2厘米長艾卷一節，套在針柄上，從下耑點燃，直到艾條燒完爲止，除去艾羢炭，續裝續灸。待治療壯數灸畢，針柄冷卻後即可出針，也可用艾羢圈代替艾羢施用。一般以1～3壯爲宜，必要時增至4～5壯。也可用WZY
-Ⅰ型溫針儀，GPS-Ⅰ型高頻熱灸療機，每次加溫10～15分鍾，但必須用於適用本法的實証。注意防止艾羢灼傷皮膚，對抽搐、痙攣、震顫患者及嬰幼兒禁用本法。
