熒光屏

在一塊特制的玻璃片上，塗上一層鎢酸鈣或硫化鋅等熒光物質的結搆，在受電離輻射照射，會發出可見光線，用作電眡機、電子顯微鏡，以及X線透眡的觀察屏。爲防止射線對觀察者的損害，熒光屏外罩有一層鉛制玻璃。熒光屏的顔色有兩種：一種爲黃綠色，多採用硫化鋅鎘或其它熒光物質加極微量的鎳制成。另一種爲藍紫色，多採用硫化鎘或其它熒光物質加極微量的銀制成。
