Studies on the sediment transport pattern, deposition rate and tidal inlet
evolution of Jiaozhou Bay were made, and it is shown from the study results
that the net suspended sediment transport within the entrance channel directed
towards the open sea, and the bay is characterized by lower suspended sediment
concentration, less sediment supply and lower deposition rate.
