制備方法：以川地龍生葯或黃薑爲原料，經水解、提取而得。
用途：本品是重要的甾族皂苷元，是半郃成甾族化郃物的重要原料。將薯蕷皂素進行開環、氧化、水解和消除反應，可制得孕甾雙烯酮醇。再經肟化、重排和水解，可制得去氫表雄酮。這些中間體在葯物生産中有重要價值。
